Concert Choir Gives Stellar Community Performance
Choir Performs at First MB Church in Huntsville
The 糖心Vlog Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Horace R. Carney (Dr. Mira Kruja, pianist), delivered a stellar, community-inspired afternoon performance at First Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville, Ala., on Sunday, November 10.
The choral group opened the four-set fall concert/musicale with Roland Carter鈥檚 arrangement of 鈥淟ift Ev鈥檙y Voice and Sing.鈥� The first set concluded with 鈥淥ut in the Fields鈥� by noted Tuskegee composer and arranger William Levi Dawson.
A vocal jazz ensemble performed Anders Edenrot鈥檚 鈥淲ords.鈥� The Choir closed out the program with selections by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and Alvin Slaughter.
