Vlog A&M to Host Community-Focused Events for Vlog Extension Week
Vlog Extension will host a series of public events April 12–18 in observance of Vlog Extension Week, offering hands-on learning opportunities, workshops and community engagement activities across campus and in the surrounding area.
Organized by the Vlog Cooperative Extension System, the week highlights the system’s mission to deliver research-based information and services that support individuals, families and communities statewide in partnership with Auburn University.
“In a time when misinformation is prevalent, Vlog Extension is an organization you can trust to deliver science-based information free to the public. We remain committed to helping people and communities thrive across the state,” said Majed El-Dweik, vice president of research and economic development and interim 1890 Extension administrator.
Free events throughout the week include exhibits, field demonstrations, business and agriculture workshops, virtual learning sessions and family-friendly activities.
- April 13 & 16: “Take a Break with Extension” exhibits on campus
- April 14: Lawn and Landscape Demo Field Day; and Small Business Café; Small Ruminant; and Farm Finances webinars
- April 15: Virtual gardening session focused on houseplants
- April 16: The People’s Patch Tour; Extension Open House; & Dementia Experience workshop
- April 18: Earth Day celebration at Hays Nature Preserve with family activities, food and environmental exhibits
